Please join Hartford City Council Member Cynthia Jennings, Donna Campbell, and the Hartford History Center at Hartford Public Library in the Center for Contemporary Culture on Saturday, March 10, to honor six African American institutions in thy City of Hartford for their 100 years of service: Bethel AME Church, First Church of the Living God, Greater Hartford NAACP, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Church Ministries, and the Women’s League Child Development Center.

The program will showcase the impressive history, important milestones and innovative ways each has made its own footprint in the community. The event will also highlight individuals and elders in these institutions and focus on their leadership and achievements in the City of Hartford.

The program will include state and local officials, citations, presentations, and individual recognition. There will also be exhibit tables set up for each of the institutions being honored. Refreshments will be served.
